I am soliciting suggestions and advice for the addition of a hands free cell phone device to my 2008 F430. I have the top Ferrari head system which has integral bluetooth and navigation, but it is essentially worthless for either function because of its difficulty to use and limited display. I am pleased with the overall sound (I did pay for the top sound upgrade), but would also like to have iphone or ipod connectivity. In my two other cars (both Porsche turbos, a 2005 911 and 2008 Cayenne) I have installed a Bury 9060 bluetooth hands free kit. This particular kit is valuable because it truly is hands free, with voice control over most functions. It also uploads the contents of your contact directory so that making telephone calls while driving is simple and effective. You never have to touch the cell phone while doing so. It effectively mutes the stereo while making the call, and uses a separate speaker and microphone for sound. I have already installed a separate microphone over the visor as the factory installed microphone was also essentially worthless and poorly placed. In addition to the speaker, the system requires installing a 2"x2" touch display, which system can be installed without cutting or drilling holes in anything. I would be interested in hearing what others have done with respect to the installation of a good hands free cell phone device and obtaining a decent iphone or ipod connection. Many thanks in advance. I always enjoy reading this forum for the best information about my Ferrari.
