Happy new owner of a Red 2000 550

    I have checked another thing off my bucket list, I now have my first 12 cyl Ferrari. Last Tuesday I flew to Phoenix, JB from Ferrari of Scottsdale picked me up, to look at the 550 they had for sale. I have been looking for the right one for years. JB had said the car was very nice, but it was even better that he had described! We had breakfast and I was on the road home by 11am. I arrived in LA in time to have dinner with a friend and Norbert Hofer, it is treat to see all the classic's in his shop, drove to the Hyatt in Santa Clarita. Up at 6am and home to Portland by 11pm. It had 11,800 miles when I bought it and the next night it had 13,300 miles. 1,500 mile by myself, 17 mpg. I now have driven it every day and will be driving it to Monterey next month with my wife. I also own a 360, they are different cars, a 12 cyl is a special car IMO. I have a couple of pictures on my phone and not tried to post one yet, I can use some help.

    Very nice IMHO red is the best color for the 550.. sounds like you are doing in right sometimes the drive home can be the best of memories ....

    I have found a reason to drive the 550 everyday so far, I love it. I have driven the 360 to the gym two mornings. I even like my 360 more than I did before. It feels light and quick, easy & fun around town. The V-12 is rock solid, fast, fantastic on the interstate, can be quiet. And yes golf clubs fit in the trunk of the 550. Instead of thinking which one I like best, I would like to think of what will be number 3. But if starting over I would be looking for a 550.

    Lookin good. I have half your garage im hoping to pair a red 550,575, or 599 with my red 360 in a few years time. If you ever tire of the 550 keep me in mind :)

    Have both cars. Hard to compare. Each with its own characters. Love both cars though I trade in my 360 spider for the CS recently.
