Just heard today through a dealer that Lambo has just informed the dealers that a hard top will be available for the 06 Roadsters. It will also fit the 05's of course. A fold in two carbon fiber piece that will fit in the bonnet. Less than 45 days it should be available. Thats all I know.

At last! It was much needed, seeing the curtains currently available! lol Especially when you see Pagani, Porsche (CGT) or Koenigsegg ... even the SuperAmerica has a nice top! Lambo needed to step up!
Keep us updated on pics :)

They should give it a folding automatic top. The Murcie roadster is great, but I would not want to have to put that top on in a hurry in the rain.

After seeing the fully automatic Gallardo top operation, this is really needed.

Called the Lamborghini rep, the top does not exist. I could not believe that I would not have heard about it so I made the call and was told that the top was not in production. This is coming from Ehren Bragg and Craig Lortie with Lamborghini. Although, on this particular point, I would absolutely love to be wrong as that top would be incredible.

I'm unsure of the current status of the top, but I do know that one exists or will exist soon due to the demand.

An individual was contracted out by a handful of Lambo dealers around the US to build one that will work. If the Bragg and Lortie aren't in that realm of dealer communications, they might not know it exists, or they deny it if it isn't crafted and made in Italy.

Hmmmm. Interesting development. Well, I have received bad info before. This info is also on another site, and the guy who posted it said he heard it from a dealer also. We will see.

    "Hard top for NEW roadster!!!!!

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lambo dealers got a two line E-Mail from Lamborghini...........

It stated "Hard top Carbon Fiber available for 06 Murcie Roadsters........will fold in hlaf and go in same sleve for the rag top in the front trunk"

THEY will fit 05 already out there.......NO PRICE SET YET!!! Should be with-in 3 to 5 weeks...I am guessing AT LEAST $9500.00 US.

This was a post I saw this morning from a well known Lambo Collector. We could both have bad info, these things happen.

Ehren Bragg=USA rep for Lambo. If he doesn't know, who would?
Craig Lortie=East coast rep for Lamborghini Technical Services. He handles all service issues. He would have to know about the top.

Believe me, I wish someone would do it. I had a guy contact me about building one for the car and never followed up with it. It does not exist and I doubt that it will. I hope that you are right though.

I really do hope so the hard top is more easiler to fix on and take off as the current convertible is so annoying. Whenever took it off, can't be bother to fix it back..
