    In my experience it means the battery is not charged enough to operate the top completely yet. Either leave it on the charger for a while first , or drive it for 30 minutes and then try opening the top.

    I always run the top with the engine running. If it is stopped mid cycle it usually means a switch did not trip and the system thinks it has not completed the needed step to continue. I diagnostic scan will show what is happening and what the system is not seeing. Pretty common issue. I wish I could tell you which one, but you should have it scanned so you are not throwing part sat it.

    One of the top position sensors has most likely gone bad. If the top ECU does not know the position of all of the components, it will stop working to prevent damage to the roof. You must use a Ferrari capable scan tool to check for faults and function of all position sensors. You can purchase them individually and splice them into the harness. They go bad all the time, and they are fairly easy to replace.
