Agreed …. I’m not a fan of the CVO’s I have mine pretty tricked out with motor upgrades, V & H pipe, handlebars, putting on a new seat, windshield, etc …. And will be in it for less than $45,000. MDS
Love the color scheme on the turquoise one. Historically Harley has had some great colors. I wish they offered more choices. I think it would be a hugely popular option. Now its just a couple colors a year and next year it is a couple of different colors. Another dumb decision. You can get all the chrome you want but you cant get the color you want.
Those were built a longtime ago. Both mine got 45. My riding partners 103 and 107 Road Glides both got 45 but had bigger tanks so more range. And that is typically a 75-80 cruise.
This is the only Harley I'm interested in: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1978-harley-davidson-xlcr-3/ And honestly, I don't see myself owning one, but you never know.
I had a friend who owned one. I rode it a fair bit. Was just a Sporster with a face lift. The XR1000 on the other hand had some cool stuff. After having a Sportster for a number of years and a pretty fast one the only Harley of that entire family that could get my interest is a street converted XR750. Light, nimble and gobs of midrange power.
I can see riding this bike. It needs a cool paint job, and I'm not so sure about the seat. But this is a Harley. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2004-harley-davidson-softail-night-train/
You'll need a pony tail, a chain drive wallet and some leather gloves with the fingers cut off. And call the Great Frog in Hollywood and order the large skull ring. I wear one. Never knew it would attract so many 30 something women or Id have gotten one long ago. https://www.thegreatfroglondon.com/us/product/anatomical-skull-ring/
There you go Dale. Thats what I'm talking about. Some high speed low drag sun glasses are needed too.
