Awhile back I saw a company that made a bar that mounted at the shoulder belt attachments and could be used to mount harnesses to. Kind of like the corvette hardbar. I've lost track of it and now can't find it. Anyone know where I can find something like that? Otherwise, I assume I can have it made up.

Please, dot not use harnesses without roll bar... It's even dangerous in case of a rolling crash

Looks like a very, very intrusive approach aka irreversible.

The 430 bar? I saw that one. I'm concerned that since it is straight across from the oem belt attachment points it likely sits higher than the shoulders and seat pass through points - which is out of specifications for a HANS device.

custom fabricate one that would sit lower to your liking!

For what it's worth, the latest HANS recommendation is that the harnesses have to sit between level to 2in lower than the shoulders and shouldn't be more than 8in from your shoulders to the harness anchor points. A few years back I recall reading an older version of the HANS manual and it suggested way lower and didn't place a cap on length. I'm guessing after a few more years of accident data they've revised it a few times ;)

And if you measured out factory equipped Scuderias with harnesses, they don't fall within these new parameters, so...

I have reached out to Mike Ferran about the rollbar to see if it can be removed when not in use. Looks like the brackets are welded and permanently but the bar itself is bolted and can be removed. My idea would be to use the bar at the track remove it reinstall the interior panels covering the brackets and looking fully stock for the street.

I think you would have to have the whole rear interior panel, as well as the shelf out...

Yeah the idea is you leave it out while tracking the car then remove the bar put the interior panels back in over the welded brackets like it's not even there
