I think we should share good experiences...

In my Dino bumper order, there was one rear unit that was slightly off from the other three.

Cristoph, at Harrington Group, had the objectionable one picked up in El Salvador and had a replacement sent, all on their dime...

This, after a year of having them in my possession.

This is what I call great service! No ifs, buts or maybes.

    Regards, Alberto

Thanks for sharing - so often the negatives are shared - nice to hear the good stuff. I remain a stalwart advocate of Dinan here in the SF Bay Area with respect to their service on my BMW M3 and tii - honorable, knowledgeable, passionate, smart - everything good you'd want in a supplier/vendor.

I also bought a set of bumpers for my Dino from Harrington. Super service and a great product.

Was it less expensive to buy new rather than rechrome?

For me, definitely, as it involved all sorts of shipping logistics.
Chroming, depending on location, and if straightening will be required, can run $500 each.
Beyond that, the bottom line with Harrington, is that you are getting an uncompromising product that will never fail and be forever repairable as far as scratches are concerned, as they will buff out.
I am not in any way related to them, yet I am very impressed by the high standards of their operation, both product and customer relations wise.

    Regards, Alberto

The numbers are close either way but when you re-plate your bumpers there is nothing left to eBay :)

I changed the bumpers on mine because the car is a euro car that was imported from Italy into the US in the early 80s. When it was imported it was fitted with US spec bumpers. I shipped the car from the US to Qatar last year and it will eventually go back to Europe with me.

The US spec bumpers just looked wrong to me so I swapped them for the euro spec Harrington ones. They look superb.

    Simon

PS - I have a full set of US spec bumpers in good condition (80-85%) including the rubbers if anyone is interested :) PM me and I'll send some pictures.
