    Saw this Ebay auction and wanted to know if a 599 key could be re-cut and re-programmed to work on a 360?

    Huh, never seen a 599 key that was silver. That looks like a 612 key to me. 599 key is red. Don't know if that makes a difference or not though. I guess you could change out the lock cylinders and the ignition, but not sure about the alarm reprogramming to work with the new key, you would likely need the whole module to do it. Sounds like a lot more trouble than it is worth. 599 key has a button to open the trunk remotely, don't know what you would wire that too as you cannot remote access the boot on the 360/430 variant. Interesting though.

    sure wish the 360 keys were like that... its not like it was new technology to put the electronics on the key in 1999.... BMW had been doing it for many many years...

    That damn fob is annoying... I am sure anyone that could make that work for the 360 would sell enough to recoup the cost of aggravation....
