Anyone change this my FF is at 50k miles and was going to do both gearboxes. I did not see any DYI, but I am sure it can not be too challenging.

How often do you guys change?

Every 4 years or 2,500 miles whichever occurs first.

2500 miles...Wow! Are you sure it's not missing an extra "0" at the end? That means mine will need to be changed every 4 months lol. My dealer has not mentioned anything during my annual service.

If you think about it, it's always good to change all fluids often, why should the gearbox oil be an exception?

Yes. Its pretty cheap and shifts are really good. Did all the fluids, filters, and belts last annual. Less to worry about.

Gear oil is actually different. However we are on the same page. It's just odd that the DCT fluid is considered lifetime, which I would never agree with.

Sure, I agree it's not engine oil or brake fluid, but still I would consider changing it every 5-6 years or let's say 30 000- 40 000 kilometers. And I definitely don't think there is such thing as a lifetime fluid.
