    Has anyone done research on the lightest sound absorbing/deadening materials and where to get them? I have seen many asphalt-like products that work awesome but are heavy as HE11!

    well, from a simple sound to energy dissipation foam works well, but it may make the interior sound odd. think of the anechoic chamber.

    I'd be curios as to how well those foam panels would work, they can be purchased cheaply from mcmaster-carr.
