    Dear Comrades,

I am interested to learn whether anyone has had experience of the Ferrari Classiche Certification/Survey on an F-40?

    With kind regards,

    Dear Comrades,

Am I to presume from the nil response that no one has had the Classiche Certification performed on their F-40?

    With kind regards,

Disappointed that you are underwhelmed with responses. I am also anxious to hear about the program for F40's. It seems like a pain in the bottom if you are not about to sell your car - replacing sports exhaust with stock and then putting it back afterwards!

    As some of you know.

    Mine failed for following:-

    MAJOR

    1) After market exhaust system & cermaic coating.

    2) 3 Slotted Rear Engine Bay Screen as opposed to 2 Slotted

    MINOR

    1) After Market Seats

    2) ICE System installed

    3) Chrome Gear knob instead of black :)

The whole point of the Classiche program is to preserve the cars in their original state as they left the factory.

So the question is, if a car is left in its original state, does it actually mean its better for it???

All a matter of opinion. Do what you want, it is your car!

My point is that certification is a pain in the butt for an F40 as most have some minor mods to unlock potential. I have said many times in Fchat that the F40 has sublime steering and fantastic feel that can be dramatically enhanced by 3 simple mods that take advantage of advances in technology:

18" wheels to allow for better tyres
Brembo big brake kit-a fantastic package that solves all problems
    Sports exhaust

All of these are easily reversible bolt ons. I will remove my wheels, brakes and exhaust and replace with stock to do certification before I sell someday in the distant future.
