Has anyone lowered their Mondial?

Your "t" has height adjustable suspension. Look to each wheel well and see the shock tube. It is threaded (like a racecar) and the spring perch can be turned down to the lowest point if you want to go low (of course you would want an alignment & possibly a corner balance while your at it).

Just another example of how the Mondial "t" is a special car.

He has a Mondi 3.2 and I think he mentioned that he lowered it somewhat when I met him in Kaiserslautern, Germany last weekend.

I think you'd enter the "NO SPEED BUMP" zone if it were to be lowered. It'll look great, but be cautious afterwards...

 

Yes - I lowered my 3.2; I think your t can be lowered without much trouble. I got a Koni setup from Sponsor Carobu and lowered mine. There is a thread buried deep in the technical section about it somewheres.

Can you post pics from side view of your lowered Mondial? From what I've read, you did a one inch drop, isn't it?

How is the handling improvement with stiffer springs? Do you have rubbing issues?

 

About a one inch drop; Only rubbing issue is if there is a sharp break and decline in the road then the middle might rub due to the longer wheel base, but rare. Can be avoided by taking sharp breaks at an angle. I stiffened the back to make the handling a little more on the nose and less understeer, and I like it. I could have gone way way stiffer on the springs, but I do like the ride on trips and do not track the car. It is about perfect for a street small GT, at least for me.
Again as is my soapbox, it is important not to over-tire the car with large section tires. max on the rear should be no more than 245 and on the front 225; mins should be the factory recommended 225 rear and 205 front which work fine with the stock power available. I opted for 205 front and 235 rear PS2 since mine has a wee bit more power.
