I went with medium for my racing seats in the Speciale... but unfortunately I was unable to try out that size to confirm if it will fit. I have a scuderia with large seats and I just felt it could be a little more snug. Just wondering what the experiences are here with that size, as I notice most are Large or X large.

AFAIK they are offered in small, medium and large... If you want to resell the car one day large would be the size to pick- you never know who's next ;)

I see... Would be a good idea to try the size before ordering anyway. Those italians are small people ;)

I've got mediums in my Speciale and love them. I'm not small (1.85 m) and slim (75 kg). I felt the large ones to be too big and didn't hold me that well. And since I never buy any clothes in large either, I didn't see why I needed to start doing that with my car seats.

Medium here too. I am not very tall, around 1.72m, but with quite broad shoulders and chest. Fits snugly, which is really good for the track. Tested at Sepang :)

What's your measurements? It would be a bit easier to say something if we knew.
As far as normal 458 carbon sport seats go, I'm pretty fit and are 181cm high, 76cm waist, 95cm chest and 71 kg. I can fit in a size small, but medium is right, and with ample room to spare. My upper thighs, butt and pelvis swim around in a large. I don't know if there's any difference between the sizes of a normal 458 carbon seat and a Speciale seat.

Um, i don't remember my exact measurements but I were a 38R suit, so i would say medium in italian language and small in US sizing.

Medium for me at 1.74m, 82kg, 33" waistline.

The Medium seat fits me well enough for my butt to feel the chassis and even better with the factory 4 point harnesses.

In that case, medium is absolutely perfect for you. I believe the waist size for 38R is 32". I'm a 36R pants and 38R-40R jacket. Yes, I hate buying new suits:D

There was/is a thread in 430 forum re: "the best" seat size in the Scuderia. I remember reading the thread when I was shopping for my Scuderia (previously owned). The thread argued that, "...unless you are a skinny European man who can fit into skinny Euro jeans, then forget purchasing anything smaller than Large, especially for the American market where we perhaps are more 'generous' in size and tend to want to be more comfortable for long drives..." And resale of a Scuderia without Large seats would be a challenge.

That being said, I bought a car with Medium seats and LOVED them. I'm 5'9", 180 lbs, 33" waist, but wear a 44-46" jacket. So I do have broad shoulders. I found Medium seats to be snug and held me in place correctly. They were comfortable. FYI, I went with regular multi-adjustable seats in my Italia since I felt it fit the nature of the car better (i.e., it is less track-oriented/hard core than Speciale or Scuderia).

Oh, and it didn't affect my ability to sell the car!

I remember that thread and discussion. When ordering my Speciale I asked the dealer about M vs L for the racing seat and he steered me towards the L. I'm 5' 7" about 180 and fit just perfectly in the large. The M would have been too snug for me personally.

Nothing betas testing out the seat size at dealer or atelier if that's an option.

One thing I never figured out...is the seat size only applicable to the driver seat? So is the passenger seat always a Large or Medium?

Do any Speciale owners finder their large racing std seats a bit snugger than sports seats on Italia and even Scud?

i am 5-10 and weigh 175. i had the opportunityt try all seats and chose large race seats which have worked for me on and off track. I like the little bit of extra room when wanting to shift my body when taking long drives while depend on the snug fit for the track. Best
