Ask him to send you a copy of the service records, that would be a start.

He sounds like an inexperienced used car salesman with the "one of a kind" and "nicest in Canada" and "Supercar" comments :)

Also the "If it doesnt sell soon, i have no problem keeping it!" comment when it is clearly at a used car lot is rather funny.

Its a few K less than others in Canada. Personally I would rather spend the extra $10K and get it at an actual Ferrari dealer (FMOV has one)... Then again its still going to be a temperamental car and not cheap to service. There is zero chance I would buy it unless it has a very complete service history since new.

Edmonton roads suck, and I would watch for damage and repairs as well, especially resprays to the car covering up rock damage.

Thankx for the info. Just seems like a pretty good deal with the miles and the price. The best is to see it and hear it run. Just a matter of finding a day to drive up to do that. I know the maintenance can get pricey that is why i am looking for one in good shape to start with. I sold my toy a few weeks ago and have that empty garage syndrome so hopefully will find something soon.

Maybe not since new, but it looks like he has some recent service records.

    Good day Fidget,

The pictures look to me at a place that is not a used car dealer, but a place that consigns cars and/or allows cars to be sold by owners. It is located on 63rd Avenue and about 86 street (?). I have driven by there numerous times (it is about 5 minutes from my work) and noticed this place and was always curious as to how the business operates (do the owners pay a flat fee, percentage, etc). Also the address listed in the ad is a residential address not a commercial address.

As for Edmonton roads... you are quite correct. Sadly our "retiring" mayor has publicly stated that a City is not all roads and infrastructure... and it is apparent that these two areas were not on his agenda, only the Edmonton Downtown Arena Boondoggle. We have the absolute worst roads I have ever seen... potholes 1-2 feet in diameter and 3-4" deep!

I believe this is the same car I saw for sale a few months ago that was advertised for around $33K, as it needed a clutch. Given that both cars are black 348s, in Edmonton, and one needed a clutch and the other stating that it has a new clutch would lead me to conclude that this is probably the same car. I also seem to remember that the $33K 348 was located in St. Albert (which is suburb to Edmonton) and so this car (if it is the same) is from a different owner.

    Cheers,

    Sam

Interesting, I used to be in that area before I moved to Vancouver, drove by that place more than a few times and wondered the same thing. I figured they were a dealer of some sort but never say anyone there so I have no clue how they afford to stay in business. My guess would be if they are operating on that model that it would be a percentage of the sale that they would take.

Every time I visit Edmonton I am amazed that the roads are even paved. I have seen gravel with better surfaces than some, especially in that area. The roads are horrific, I hear every year about friends who end up replacing rims or suspension parts when they hit the unavoidable holes in the streets. It is disgusting in a capital city of a very wealthy province for it to be that bad.

sounds like the same car to me as well... not sure if that changes the OP's opinions but it is worth note for sure.
