I know it's not officially available in the UK, but I was watching a Matt Armstrong video today where his father, Tony, was driving his 430, which didn't have navigation.

I may have a way to contact Matt through 6 degrees of separation, and I want to gift Tony a CP71W radio for his 430. Before I go through the effort of tracking a way to send a radio to Matt Armstrong from the States, I want to make sure the radio works in Europe and can get European radio stations.

Usually US radios will work fine but the adjustment on FM stations will be off. I believe the US is only odd decimal points like 99.7 and european is even like 99.8 so the tuning never really matches up. If he doesn't listen to FM, then no problems.

I’ve been out of the loop a long time, never seen these, want one now ! How do I get one to the UK ?

And to answer the Q: yes, there’s a whole bunch of region options in the menu:

Interested, been trying to get one for EU aswell to be able to link the phone to the radio and whatnot, but not sure if it will get our local frequences, although we use aformentioned odd and even (99,7 and/or 99,8 for example)

It works well in Australia which has the same FM frequencies as Europe. Just select the EU regional option.

Perfect thanks. Just because a radio says it supports Europe in the Android-based settings, experience says it really does. Thanks.
Now to work my 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon and find out how/where to send one.
