They look like junk. The edges aren't beveled, so the pad will catch and tear off. Also the surfaces the pad are stuck to are rounded, and the pad is flat.
Double sided tape? Come on. $99 is alot for a square of plastic. I could make 20 of these with a sheet of abs plastic from the hardware store for $10.

    Run...don't walk!

I made my own. Don't use ABS plastic (it can shatter). I made mine out of UHMW (ultra high molecular weight) plastic. This stuff can really take a beating, and should be available from plastic suppliers (or TAP plastics) in your area.

Of course, I went a little overboard. I got two part epoxy molding clay and made a mold of the portion of my 360 bumper I wanted to protect. Then I cut the plastic to rough size using a jigsaw. (I had ordered a set from Premier, I think--they were nicely shaped and good material, but flat--and the underside of the 360 bumper is not flat). Anyway, I trimed mine to roughly that shape and rounded the edges using a router. Then I clamped and screwed the pieces to the molds, and baked them in the oven. They didn't fit perfectly, but they were damn close, and far better than anything available at the time. Cost for the sheet of UHMW plastic: $30 (enough to make 25 sets), epoxy clay: $50, look on my wife's face when she opened the oven--priceless.

That is one piece of expensive plastic, a poorly made one at that. Useless without chamfer in the front edge as pointed out by other post. You can do what Scott did, or you can order an aluminum or titanium ones made by Hill Engineering (sponsor) with or without mounting holes. I ordered mine w/o holes and double side taped to my car. Hill Engineering's skid plates are curved so fits well to contour of bumper. Mine works great.

Double sided tape works amazing well if the two surfaces match and are cleaned with alcohol before applying the tape.

Glad to know I am not the only one baking non-food items in wife's oven.

Does anyone have a pic of the Hill plates. My issue with the original set I got from Premier was that they were flat--and didn't fit perfectly. My molding set up worked OK, but I would love something that fits even better than mine did.

On another note, one place to get very very strong double sided tape is a woodworking store. I use the stuff to hold jigs together, and in pulling them apart the tape will occasionally pull off some wood. The surfaces need to be clean, degreased (acetone works well, for a metal plate. Soap and water is probably best for the 360 bumper), and you need to apply a fair amount of pressure to get a good bond.
