I was looking at a 1995 355 Berlinetta with 25,400 miles in Manchester, NH. It had all its servicing done at Precision Imports by Richard Horan including the 15,000 mile major. Its had one exhaust manifold replaced but no valve guide or cat work yet.

I was just wondering if they do good work, since I'm more familiar with the places around Boston.

is that the one at pauls executive? I think the 15k was done a while ago but they didnt have an answer on the belts. They didnt seem to want to move much on the price. If you could pick it up for 65K and get the belts done for 5k or so it wouldnt be such a bad buy. I think you could find a fully serviced/similar miles car with the 30k done for about the same money-ted

Yeah, its the one at Paul's Executive Car Care. I just saw a nice red/tan 1995 F355 on Ebay in Georgia with a buy now price of $69500. If I just had time to go down there...

I have talked to a Lotus Owner in Auburn NH about Precision Imports. He said that they had done work on his Lotus and his Audi. Happy with the service on both. Pecision is very active with the Porsche Club in that area.

Thanks for the info. I spoke with the owner, Mr. Horan, and looked around the shop. I will give them a try.

    Chucklehead,

Don't sweat the valve guides on a 95 355. If the car has 25k miles and if the car passes a leak down test, then you don't have the EARLY Valve Guide Wear problem. I emphisize the word early because that was the issue in 95. Owners of a small run of cars experienced early valve guide wear and the issue got blown way out of proportion to the point where dealers were doing valve guide replacements on brand new cars to placate worried customers.

I have a 95 coupe, Blu Sera metalic with Tan interior. It has 30k mi and the original valve guides. It's getting its 30k service done at IFS right now...The best around. Spend a couple of bucks and have John Tirrell check out your car. Better to have peace of mind than be sorry later.

    Thanks,

I wanted to bring the car down to Boston Sports Car but they won't let the car go that far. It had to stay in the area around Manchester.

I'd be very suspicious when a seller wont let you ship a car to have a PPI done at a place of your picking.
