Has everyone seen the latest Zagato Ferrari. Most likely you are all aware of this car but I just got an email from a bud in CA that just got this from a dealer: (ugly green interior huh)

The rear tail light looks like head lights.

I agree...wonder if there's a steering wheel in the back seat facing aft?

I like it, though it's a shame Kermit had to die to make that interior!

Our car... two were built initially, No. 01 and No. 02. Zagato built the first two and Ferrari was initially going to take orders on 99 more. Initial price was going to be 475,000 Euros plus the cost of the new 575. The 599 was about to be released and Ferrari panicked that the GTZ would cut into sales of the new car and pulled the licensing agreement. Zagato had permission to build four additional cars and did so. The price for the cars was however astronomically higher to limit interest and keep clients focussed on the new 599. It did not work and all four of the final built cars were purchased and remain with the original owners today.

Which one looks more dated today, the GTZ or the 599? I have my opinions... they are likely different from others.

    Ciao,

    Bill

    So six in total, Bill?

I thought that is what I remembered (and posted in the other discussion thread.)

Yes, 01 and 02 under private commission as new build, clean sheet cars for Mr. Hayashi and four additional cars (03-06) for Ferrari private clients.

    Ciao,

    Bill
