Not sure if you guys have done this before but i think it'd be fun. Let's all get together with as many different Ferraris as possible and do a car swap drive... We route out a nice drive with all of us driving each other's cars. Have point where we all pull over and swap to another car. We all have respect for these cars and I think it would be great to drive different Ferraris all day. It just seems silly to me that we get together so often and many people have never driven the other models. For example, I have never driven an F355 and would like to, never drove the 599 or 612 or the older ones either.. Come to think of it, I have only driven a 360, CS and an F430. I am sure many of you haven't driven the F430 for any length of time or at all for that matter, so jump in mine and have a blast. I let everybody drive my car.... hell, i let my girlfriend drive it(the 05 F430) the first night i met her. I let my friends all drive it and their girlfriends so I would definitely let other f-car owners drive it. I have one rule when letting others drive my car and if we all follow it, we should be fine and have some fun. The rule is, if you scratch it or dent it...... back it up and TOTAL it.
funny enough, it was fred's Cs that i drove and he doesn't let people breathe on it.... And, yes, of course, i am into wife/gf swapping as well...... I am a very generous person obv. Let do it!.... the drive that is..... oh ok, and Amanda can call me also.
After just doing a spirited drive though Dade City, San Antonio I'm all for it. Likewise I let others drive mine. F1 prevents clutch damage and lifes to short not to be generous. So lets plan a weekend. I'll be in Sebring in 2 weeks but after that I'm ready. Whoopie
Sounds like a great idea, wish I had an fcar, by the time Im 30 ill have one. Dr. Whoopie, If you can not burn the clutch on an f1 trani, than how come some ppl run thru clutches in less than 4k miles? Iv never researched into it, but I have heard a a few ppl having to replace an f1 clutch quick. PS: anyone who gets to drive Dr. Whoopie's 355 f1 will be very lucky, cars beautiful and sounds even better!
Thanks Dave: I'm just refering to the clutch abuse a manual may take if someone was dropping it at high revs burnouts and all. No clutch issues so far with 25K mi. Glad you liked the sound, its stock. Maybe we'll swap next time for a few miles. You should come out to Sebring for the races...and the party ! Whoopie
... he he, I wish I could take a car off the lot.. hey todd, I thought you had a yellow 355? and I have YET to drive a Fcar.... maybe andy will let me drive his, he gave me my first ride in a fcar.lol wish wish wish....
LOL.......... Mark, Sindo, as crazy as it sounds, YES, believe it or not, Todd drove my CS.......... But, he was not allowed to breathe on it while driving ................That same day, I drove his F430 (his '05). It really was nice having the opportunity to drive an F430, and I am sure a nice opportunity for Todd to drive a CS. And, for anyone who wants to trade my Tundra for a 599 or F40, just let me know............
I def want to do this. BT, I Wanna drive the 348 also. Photoman, I had a yellow NSX-T, not a 355 Im obv not the guy to organize this cos I can barely go downstairs to get my mail more than once a month but, I will help.... How do we put this together? Gotta have a good long drive with as many stop as there are cars so we can all switch at each stop... be fun for the significant (or not so significant) others as well. Rule #1..... watch your feet, DONT KICK NOTHIN'! Get in like a girl with a skirt on, sit with both feet outside car, then spin in.
Make it the day of our BBQ in late April. Some of the group from the south can do a drive / swap on the ride up to PBG, then after the food etc... we can go for a ride towards Lake O. Keep in mind I might not have the 348 by then, but we shall see... One of the days out at A-51 Mike Barr and I traded drives for a few laps, it was really fun. I made sure to drive his Lotus not too hard, you obviously only want to take a chance in your own car. BT
Trading is all fun and games. When it comes to the Ferrari though....THAT IS WHERE I DRAW THE LINE!!!!! ...now when do we hook up on the wife trading?
