I like a lot of Dino owners seem to have fuel sender unit problems, some time it works fine other time it operates like the wind screen wipers. Not knowing if I had enough fuel to get out of my garage I would over the weeks bring home a drum of fuel and topped it up till it was full,it was a pretty hot day in Sydney today and I had arranged for a friend of mine to do a helecoil on my front hub he lives about 20 miles away.On arriving he noticed fuel pouring onto the ground looks like it is either a split tank or loose hose connections he said, I was praying for the latter,We jacked the car up to find the leak and know sooner did we get it off the ground it stopped,no split tank no loose connections must be the overflow pipe. After a successful helicoil fitting I was off no leaks every thing was fine, stopping at traffic lights I started to smell petrol and when I took of the rear end pulled out oh no what next we did tighten that wheel up? better check everything was tight, but fuel spilling out again.I made it home leaving a trail of gas, after parking the car in the garage the leak had stopped but I decided for some stupid reason to check the fuel cap,big mistake whoosh all over me the pressure was amazing, obviously there is a problem, even if I had over filled the tank after 40 miles this should not be the cause or could it,any clues would be appreciated.

check how the fuel tanks breathe, if it breathes thru the gas cap and it is plugged, it will cause the pressure you are experiencing. The fuel pumps can exert a lot of pressure at the top of the tank as they draw the fuel out and create more and more vacuum and when you remove the cap air rushes into the tank. I've seen this type of problem actually collapse a steel tank.
    good luck
