    so today i decided to drive my car to work for the first time since ive had the darn thing....finally after 7 months i have the car ready to just drive ...i am so anal that i had to have everything working properly and functional before i could drive and enjoy...basically have the car gone thru....today was the day i left redondo beach and headed to hollywood CA in the red car...

    so went to the gym for a quick work-out then jumped in the car about 11 am ,,,headed to the 405 fwy,,,,the busiest fwy in LA...weather was nice...clear sky,,,sunny,,,little cold (for us) about 55 degrees..so im in a good mood ...lifes great....and as im turning to get onto the fwy on ramp....i hear honking and yelling,,,and middle fingers flying all over...i look over sort of confused and this is all focused towards me....???? i know i didnt wrong this guy in anyway...ie: drift into his lane or cut him off....but he started acting a little erratic so i slowed down let him onto the fwy in front of me...

    i really wasnt bothered by it..no jerk - off was going to rile me up for no reason....so i decied to roll the windows down,,,sped up next to him...and just smiled @ him....well he didnt dig that ...(i think he wanted to be hostile) he was going crazy nuts,,...then i slowed again....shifted down to 3rd,,,,go the rpm's up...pulled next to him...laughing (mind u he was ballistic for no reason)...then i blew hm a kiss hit the throttle swerved safely in front of him and jetted to about 90 mph..just to make a statement..i have to admit it was a pretty tasteful classy move to do to a total ass / hater...

    so as im driving after this little chaotic / crazy incident i was thinking why is this guy going nuts ???? then it dawned on me...im driving a Ferrari...he probably figured i was some arrogant prick,,,,which im not....lol...i mean dont get me wrong,,,in LA its not un-common to see exotic cars....but i guess some people just dont get a warm and fuzzy feeling seeing people roling around in them,,,,just sort of a funny story i think because it was my first day traveling more then 5 miles from my house...

    i guess my reason for this little thread is that ive had nice cars ,,,porsches, benz, bmw, classics,,,but ive never experienced the attention a ferrari recieves,,,,completely different from any other car out there...

    i do think most people are appreciative to seeing a old/vintage well kept car ,,,

    This is a bit unfortunate in LA. You will get a few thumbs up, most won't even acknowledge it, and you get a few hostile people.

    One of the reasons I moved to Vegas.

    Well its kind of a known issue, even Jeremy Clarkson mentions it now and then that people are so envious of other people having a Ferrari, let a lone a top down red one, that they spit in it.

    LA is a great place to live but too many people, take the good with the bad I suppose. I use to live there for 4 years, most folks are cool and don't care if its a Ferrari but just be careful not to tangle with gang members. I just ignore such people and go on with my business. Don't let the bad bring you down, most folks will give you a thumbs up !

    Be careful, the surest way to make an irrational angry person moreso is to do exactly what you did. It appears you chose to make the situation far worse and worsen the image of Ferrari drivers.

    I try to stay with the rule of no more than one interaction per crazy person. I have one in my family, you mess with these people at your own peril.

    pv dirk you are absolutely correct,,,,i sould have just sped away and ignored him....i guess it was a knee jerk reaction react to him...

    it didnt occure to me why he flippd out on me til a couple of minutes after the incident...
