Walter Medlin and Basil Shadlin are different people. There have been several threads about Medlin-- search is your friend.

 

I had the pleasure of buying a Lotus Elite from Basil in the early 90's.
It was a very fair deal. He was a gentleman to do business with.
More importantly he has, over the years, saved many exotics from the crusher when they were just old cars with fancy wheels!
I came here to praise Basil, and hope he is doing well.
Very few on this board would have done what he did in the 60-70s
To save these cars. As far as I am concerned, they are his and he had the right to do what he wants with them .

Has any new light been shed on the status of the collection? I would love to see 0927 GT, should it still be "unrestored".

Any way to update some of the pictures/links? They all seem to be gone....
