    Since this is your thread I don't feel too bad hijacking it: I've only been to Oslo and then drove straight to the border with Sweden (the bridge with the troll). Liked Oslo a lot with all its museums (Vikings, Thor Heyerdahl) and parks (Wiegeland).

    I'm VERY impressed - most Americans belive Oslo is the Capitol of
    Sweden....and that we got polar bears in the streets.
    Actually, Norway is the 2'nd or 3'rd richest country in the world
    it most come from our black gold in the northern sea (oil)
    Most of us make a good living (incl.me) with our jobs, but its no
    country for a cheap tourist.
    It VERY expencive here - pack of cigarettes, 10 USD.
    Well, I off to bed soon - going to Oslo tomorrow for the 5'th time this week, that suckz, another day with more accidents (not me) and
    traffic jam - theres a LOT of danish,dutch and swedish trucks coming in to Oslo with "slik" tires and no wheel-chains....oooh caos AD.

    Well, I'm dual citizen, coming from Switzerland, maybe that helps. I know what you mean, people constantly mix up Suecia with Suiza. It's annoying.
    Your cigarettes may cost ten bucks, but your public schools and healt care are at a fraction. It's just a different way of distributing the money.
