Twice. Once after he was testing for Monaco at the Fiorano track.

I was there for a track drive and photo shoot with 01C/010I. After he was done for the day he came over to see the old Ferrari. The track steward offered him a spin in the car and he took one look at the rather primative nature and said no thank-you.

Seemed very polite and good natured.

Not so at the 04 USA GP. We met him after he was given the news about his brothers condition so he was less than pleased. Still took the time to say hi again and gave us an autograph.

I had passes in the Ferrari pits and snapped a couple of neet shots. He gave us a friendly thumbs up just before he squealed out and almost ran me over.

We got to sit and chat with David Couthard at Dinner on Saturday night. He was super nice and bought us a round of drinks.

It was a great race. Tons of fun. Met all of the drivers that year but Rubens.

Attached is one of the photos I got of Micheal.

    Cheers,

    Bill

We attended test day this past April at Fiorano. Day started great when John and I were standing looking towards the garage area and he walked past us offering a very pleasant "bonjurno" which received our similar response. He spoke to us after lunch then signed autographs for us. He signed my yellow Ferrari flag and asked to have it held tight so Deborah helped out; I also asked him if he would please sign my little MS teddy bear which he said of course. I offered best of luck at Imola and the entire season - response was a very polite thank you.

At the USGP a couple years back, there was a very small group of us talking with DC at his car as he was leaving. Very polite, spent time answering questions and a gal from Holland and I got kisses out of that deal.

I'm the blonde in the photo with the yellow flag.

Looking forward to another test day in Maranello.

    Carol

Had a similar experience in Monaco in, I think, '97. He signed my hat (after my then-wife pulled it off of my head and thrust it at him) and said a few words, but the crowd was rowdy and it was tough to really chat. I did manage to retain the hat in the subsequent divorce!

Sounds like MS is GROSSLY overestimating man's ability to be so flexible yet reach that far at the same time... ;-)

I talk to him quite often.

Mind you, he’s never there when I do.

I also played the piano for the Queen of England - last year actually.

She wasn’t in the room at the time either.

Funny that, it’s not like this asylum doesn’t have visiting days....
