Manual is useless, as most european ones. After opening the roof for the first time, I was waiting for a signal, like the manual says, and nothing. After 1 second of seeing nothing else happening, released button. The roof symbol stayed on, which I thought was maybe to remember it was open (manual made no mention of that, of course). When I closed it, I heard the 2 beep confirmation cycle was finished, and all was well. Opened the roof today for the second time, and roof warning stayed on all the time again (and no warning of cycle being finished, just like before). But after closing it, even though I heard the 2 beeps, roof warning stayed on. WTH?

Can spider owners please explain how your roof works as far as opening and closing chimes, roof warning on the dash, and if holding the button raises your windows? The first time I was expecting the windows to go up, and that's why I kept the button pressed, but nothing happened. Same thing after closing the top; windows don't go up. Need to know if I have a problem with a sensor or something that I get no chimes after opening the top. And now a light when closed. Just removed the battery to clean the acid mess I found, so will have the car disabled for a few days. Thanks gang.

I would assume one of your sensor servo units is out of alignment, and the
Computer doesnt realize the top is all the way down.

Search this forum, there is a topic that covers this.

I had a similar issue, but dealer fixed mine under warranty. If
It is messing up.. STOP using it until fixed.
It only gets worse and causes more problems if u ignore it

Thanks man. Will search for that topic again, as I couldn't find anything the first time. If you remember any 'key' words it'd be greatly appreciated :).

May I ask you a few questions?

Does your car beep twice when opening roof sequence is completed?
If you keep the button pressed after opening sequence, does hydraulic pump still works?
Do you get any roof open 'reminders' of any kind with the top down?

Car beeps twice when roof closes, and pump doesn't operate any more, which I assume should be the same way when opening, so the problem might be on the last sensor when open. Need to find this info. JUst trying to understand how exactly the system works, as the manual is wrong on so many details of the car is not even funny. Thanks again.
