What actual code did you have?

Were you getting a "Slow Down" warning on your multifunction display? Sounds like your system thinks the CAT is getting over-hot and is putting the car into slow down mode to protect it.

You may have an over hot cat or it may be a faulty detection.

How long ago did the Capristo exhaust go on the car and has it been perfect since then (i.e. no problems, no codes)?

keisuko, agree with greg above. Can you be more specific as to exactly what codes you are getting? Could be a bad coil, could be an issue with the capristo...

Sounds like the problem might be starting from the air intake end and working it's way through.
I would check the air filters ( you are not using K&N or BMC, their oil might have fouled the MAS), and also try to the the air flow sensors cleaned with a mild window cleaner and then dry them using a hairdryer but not with a heat setting.
Once you have done this try to reset the error codes and see what happens next.
