Hawaii F-Chatters?

The Southern California forum seemed to be the least inappropriate place to put in a thread for Hawaii, so here it is....


Aloha Hawaii F-chatters,

In case you didn't know, Hawaii Raceway Park is closing in April of 2006, which means after that, there will be no race track on Oahu. I see it as a pretty messed-up situation, not just because all these drifters and drag racers will go crazy on the streets, but we'll have no place to really enjoy our F-cars.

There's a big car cruise being organized for tomorrow (Presidents' Day) for motorsports enthsiasts to show support for a new track. Here's the information.

I realize this is very last-minute, but if you could make it out there, it would be nice to meet some of my fellow F-chatters. My 308's down, so I'll be in my NSX at Kakaako Beach Park at about 11:30am. My name's Ken and my NSX is red with a red (not black) roof.

 

Ken, not sure how much of a response you will get from the Southern California guys, but unless you and I are blind, I do not see a place for Hawaii on Fchat. Let me see if I can work that out for you!

 

Ha! I was thinking the same thing, but seeing as how there's no Hawaii forum, this one seemed the least inappropriate.

Well, there are hardly enough of us here to justify our own forum. It would be nice, however, if there were a regional forum that Hawaii could fall under. I didn't see anything like that either.

 

Even a tiny one for all of the pacific islands in general would be nice. I know we have a few people on Hawaii, Guam, etc...
