    Anybody here ver seen or had experience with the Hawk stratos replica, one with a 308 or alfa 164 motor. Are they like the real thing?

    I have one under progress (if you could call it progress) for a while now.
    It'll have a 308QV.

    rom what I've expereinced, they are very similiar in handling to an original. The Hawk is about the closest replica ther is to the original...but a lot depends on how you build it up..
    An extremely short wheelbase and an extreame rear weight bias makes a for a car that can be, shall we say, fun? It's a light car at around 1800 lbs and 300 or so HP you will have your hands full as it can go from mild understeer to violent oversteer unless you ar very familiar with it's handling characteristics. They are beautiful to look at, that's for sure. The Stratos and replicas were designed for rally driving, so it is the driver that will have to adapt himself for daily street use.
