    Please help! I finally had time for a nice drive today and after about five minutes the hazard lights would come on and a siren would beep and the triangle warning would appear in the little screen by the tach (where it usually says, race, sport, etc.). The car (2007 F430) drove fine and the lights, warning and siren would go off but less than a minute later it would come back on.

    I have heard this may be a battery issue? The car was off its battery charger for two days (i usually keep in on the charger all the time) so i'm not sure if this had an impact.

    The manual does not provide much help and i couldn't find anything here on the forum with a quick search. Thank you for your ideas!

    Sounds like a short with the alarm.

    Thanks. Any idea how to confirm that? I'm charging the battery now so i am hoping that takes care of it.

    It sort of sounds like something triggered the alarm panic mode. It might be a long shot, but if it happens again, try pressing the alarm button on the key to silence it.

    I'm not sure what a weak battery would have to do with it, but the triangle is the hazzard light indicator, which is likely tied into the alarm system, just like the siren. If the siren is chirping ("beeps") and not full on sounding, especially while driving, then you may need to track down a short. But, to lay the battery theory to rest, measure the voltage with the car off vs. the voltage with it running (when it should be charging). If there is a big discrepancy, then replace the battery and see if the issue goes away.

    Try simple things first.

    Kindly do a battery reset.

    Then lock the door, unlock it, and lock it again and leave it alone for a couple of minutes.

    Check your battery age. Is its almost 4 years old i recommend replacing it.

    I'm out of commission right now due to total right knee replacement so I cant get to my desktop computer where I have a copy of battery reset procedure and car alarm system reset procedure. Sorry. So just kindly do a search.
