FCHAT can be pretty amazing, so here goes and maybe I'll get lucky ... I bought a Harley Davidson Fatboy in 2002 - shortly thereafter, I replaced the floorboards with forward controls. Sold the bike in 2006 and got it back as a present in 2017 - bike is basically mint. The problems is I want to replace the forward controls back to floorboards and HD no longer sells a kit for that. Any ideas on where to look next ? I'm not having luck with my internet search. MDS

No - I need the full "kit" which will hook up to the transmission and brakes. I've been on a few of the aftermarket motorcycle parts websites and not finding what I need. My mechanic is the one that told me they're having trouble finding the parts. MDS
As many of those that must get totaled there has to be a bunch in junk yards.Engines, gear boxes, tanks and forks probably go quick but you don't need any of that. Depending on where you are maybe also call Arlen Ness Motorcycles out in Dublin CA. Arlen used to go to police auctions and buy 10 or 20 retired bikes at a time, build customs from them and put them in the show room. He didn't throw the left overs in the dumpster.
What size apes? 14”? A buddy of mine had a fat boy with 18” apes, was interesting to ride it when I did.
