I agree. It looks great on static objects. It is with moving objects that it becomes problematic as you add blurring. An example of this is the small tree with no leaves on the center of one of Mike's photo of the cars in the parking lot.

It's the HDR software, it over-exaggerates the colors to the point that his picture almost looks like a CGI rendering.

Interesting effect, but it almost looks like a smudge or finger print with the cloud and the roof of the house (top left). That spot keeps grabbing my eye.

The software is cool but it can definitely overdo it in most cases unless you tweak the settings. Some people seem to like the "more real than real-life" color saturation and such, but to me it comes over as too fake. But to each his own.

If you have a modern D-SLR, you can usually set up auto exposure bracketing at -2EV, 0, +2EV with shutter speed. Then you can change the shooting mode to 3-shot and if you have enough light and keep the aperture pretty open, then you can get a nice fast shutter speed. My DSLR seems to be able to take about 6-7 pics a second, so that means with a 1,000th shutter speed I get very little in the way of camera shake and motion artefacts.

Wouldn't work for a sports game but definitely works for getting the dog to pose or getting pics of landscape between wind gusts.

Since the digital camera just creates a digital file. I would think a Dslr could bracket 3 shots with just one picture taken.
