    LCD or Plasma? Looking at max 46 inch screen-little if any gaming-however wife likes TV on and does tend to fall asleep-son watches sports on it and I'll be watching the F1 and MotoGP races on it...Panny and Pioneer Plasmas look good but 'm hearing LCD is the better technology (until the next best thing).

    Plasmas are a little cheaper also....any advice???

    Been to the AVS forum etc. and I got major technical overload there....

    If I can remember correctly, when we were shopping for a new TV, the guy said the LCD is better than Plasma but its also a lot more expensive. We went to buy the LCD though.

    I don't see any difference between the quality of Plasma and LCD so I would go for the Plasma. You can buy a bigger TV for a cheaper price. Sony or Pioneer are my favorite brands when it comes to TV. Its your choice so go for whatever you feel comfortable with.
