Now lets keep it active!!
Well it's about time. I used to live on Maui. Idk how many other Hawaii members we have on here but it's worth a shot. Somebody should start a spotters thread.
A forum for Hawaii and Louisiana (both in the same geographical region, no less), but the entire group of Chicago owners shares with five other states. Ahh, F-chat.
Ah, I didn't see the Chicago forum. Admit it, though - the separate forum for Hawaii might be overkill!
the forum isn't for you, so don't worry about it. if the activity doesn't keep up then I will merge it somewhere else.
It probably makes more sense to merge it with the Japan section. Its geographically closer and there are a lot of Japanese interest in Hawaii. Just my thoughts.
Hawaii and Japan are 2 different countries. And the amount of Japanese in the Islands are nowhere near what it was. Hawaii/Alaska I could see but please do not put it with Japan.
You've heard of C&H sugar, right? Cajun & Hawai'ian. Below, a Cajun Hawaiian guitar player performs at National Rice Festival in Crowley, Louisiana in October, 1938 Image Unavailable, Please Login
In 1906, the California and Hawaiian Sugar Refining Company began refining pure cane sugar in the small town of Crockett, California, near San Francisco. As cargo ships offloaded raw cane sugar from the Hawaiian Islands, the refinery employed 490 people and produced 67,000 tons of refined cane sugar. Today C&H produces cane sugar and molasses for a vast U.S. market. The Crockett refinery processes over 700 thousand tons of cane sugar annually --more than 70 types, grades and package sizes, including packaged consumer sugars as well as packaged, liquid and bulk granulated industrial-use cane sugars. http://www.chsugar.com/Consumer/history.html
Hey Rob! It's warm and sunny! Maybe we're all too busy enjoying the perfect weather to post alot. That said, we (I) visit and read F-Chat every day. Folks here don't like to boast about the stuff we have or the cars we drive. It's a cultural thing...
