I almost fell off my couch laughing at this statement from MS when asked about the "incident" he had with Massa at the Variante Alta in today's qualifying run.

In one word MS basically summed up what many folks here have thought about Massa as an F1 driver. I'm sure Michael didn't mean it this way, but it was funny how it came out.

I remember PSK once saying about Massa's goal in F1 as "to simply keep the car on the track". So true.

Massa is a bit of a loose canon

Notice the glance that passed between Schumi and Rubhino when they mentioned "next to your former teammate"? ;)

With a qualifying "performance" like this in comparison to MS he is toast. He can only hope for race day.

Felipe blamed the team for sending him out in traffic on his hot laps.

Interesting. When he missed the chicane at Variante Alte there was nobody in front of him (only MS behind him).

I hope massa proves us all wrong. The thing that always surprises me is how busy he is behind the wheel, he makes loads of unnecessary corrections....just a strange driving style i guess?

Hopefully he is only there for a year, and Kimi will be MS's teammate.

Am I the only one here that likes Massa. I know hes not the greatest driver in the field, but I don't think I've heard him making BS excuses for his mistakes like other drivers, and that I respect. From what I've seen, I think he's really pushing as hard as he can, and even today commented that he's not pleased with his performance. I like when a driver can say he made the mistake and not blame others. I know he said something about traffic hindering his quali laps today, but that's really the first I've heard him ever put even a small amount of blame some where else. Another trait I like is the fact that he doesn't come off as cocky, at least not to me. I think he knows his place in the team and is just happy to be there. I could be way off, but this is just my opinion.

Don't think you need to use the word "hopefully" :)

Kimi is awesome. I would love to seem him at Ferrari. There is no doubt in my mind he would have won last year if they could have kept a car under him.

Actually I like him, but just don't think he should be in that seat. OTOH Ferrari has a long list of undeserving drivers in the past, so one more doesn't seem to matter.

At least this weekend he performed well.
