    Are Elring head gaskets worth the extra cost over Stock gaskets?

    Yes, They have a grommet at the oil feed which is good and are made of good materials. I saw one engine where all the gaskets including the head gaskets showed white crusting at the mating surfaces like the crusting on battery terminals due to cheap materials. I always use top tier products on a rebuild. Relative to the effort and other money spent on a rebuild the extra cost is relatively small.

    Those gaskets are from GT Car Parts. Their gaskets are far and away the best gaskets I have found. Good stock and overnight delivery and reasonable prices. Material, thickness, accuracy in cutting are right on.
