    was wondering on the 400, do they come with leather or cloth??? another 400 owner saw mine and said that they never seen one with leather. just wondering if it was an upgrade option or on the later models.

    Cloth here. the center light valance is leather.

    Fluffy type cloth on mine.1983 400i

    Please do not polish older Ferraris on the roof with a mechanical buffer. From experience with my Mondial it loosened the sponge between the cloth and panel and its dropped. No amount of spray glue can hold it back up, its now glue stained and Im getting relined for (£150 $300) now.

    Can I re-answer?

    I answered faster than my brain works (a common problem for me). Mine have been vinyl or leather not fabric.

    I didn't even know Ferrari used vinyl (absurd) with the acres & acres of leather in the interior (what were they thinkin'), either cloth or option to leather.

    i would think that a high end car would use the same leather that they used on the seats...color match, feel, etc...it seems that mine is, smells and feels like leather..
