I soon realised that my 308 GTBQV was not really designed for taller drivers. I have a long body and shorter legs so need the seat slightly forward to ensure I can fully depress the clutch. This meant reclining the seat a bit to prevent my head hitting the roof. The original head restraint could be described as neither use nor ornament!
My initial solution was a modified pillow case with a child's inflatable booster seat partially inflated. The effect was to provide support to the top of my shoulders/ bottom of my neck. It worked but was hardly elegant. This is the next attempt: same booster cushion but a custom made cover. It all simply slips over the original head rest.
I also got a Hill engineering steering wheel spacer so I can now hang on to the wheel! Image Unavailable, Please Login
