    Wade,

By the sound of your question it appears that Eastern Long Island is a bit far from where you will be. If you were to be on LI you could join us - we were planning on Breakfast this Sunday off the Long Island Expressway at exit 66. Have a safe and enjoyable trip if we don't see you.

I emailed Wade. He's going to be in the Paramus area. I'm planning on meeting up with him, and unless it snows or we have a repeat of yesterday's freezing rain, I'm going to drive the 308. Since the car has his Electromotive coil brackets and distributor covers installed, I'm sure he'll enjoy seeing how they worked out in person.

Sam, actually it's exit 64, route 112. Head south about 2 miles, the diner is on the left across from a car wash. Hope you can make it. Probably looking at 9:30 am.

Are you guys getting together with your Ferrari's? It's reporting 30's and possible snow-showers.

Going to do my best to be there. Assuming no snow, I'll be driving the Ferrari (308, not the 328).

The Suburban Diner is on Rt. 17 North, between Rt. 80 and Rt. 4 in Paramus (SOUTH of Garden State Plaza and Rt. 4). Mapquest the address and you'll see exactly where it is.

    Sam,

I'm jealous, you got your Sunday Newsday during daylight hours on Sunday. I noticed mine in the driveway after 9:30 pm!

Sorry guys, did not have any time to socialize, had to get back ASAP drove up Monday through the worst traffice I have ever experienced, and tolls, my God the tolls, i95 to the turnpike. wow traffic I don't know how you guys deal with it, I understand fully where road rage was originated.

So I drove up took 12 hours got there loaded up had dinner with the owner and drove back. but came back through the mountains 81 to 77 much better , no traffic just worst gas mileage, pulling a trailer averaged about 10 mph, got home at 10am 28 hours straight on the road. Beautiful scenery with all the snow but wow the traffic in Jersey , incredible.

Will see you guys on the return trip.

    Happy Holidays

That is so much nicer than 95 it's not even funny. I've driven both ways many times and while 81/77 is almost 50 miles longer for my destination the reduction in stress is well worth it. The variations in traffic on 95 are ridiculous - I've had my 605 mile run take anywhere from 8.5 to 13 hours!

You got off easy. Traffic was light because most Northeast schools were closed. Try a run up here around a holiday like Memorial Day, then you will see traffic. I would agree however that the tolls are criminal but no state is innocent. I remember the drive down 95 when there were no tolls in Maryland after the Memorial Bridge. Now they bang ya pretty good. Tolls, like road rage, is a disease that everyone catches at some point.

What did you drag home with you?

    Happy Holidays
