    I have a leaking header, wow! :D

So i have been offered some options by my service centre (my car is still under the warranty they gave me when i brought it)

Option 1: Have my header cut up and fixed (similar to the work QV in London do)

Option 2: They have a brand new factory header in stock that they will do for the same price as having mine fixed.

What do you think? I know the factory header will fail again but i am not sure about the warranty on the fixed header.

Also, are 2.7 and 5.2 headers the same?

I say it's a no brainer to fix your header, as long as it's fixed properly. Why would you want to put on a new one that you KNOW will fail, just a matter of time?

Good point :D There is an excess on the warranty, that is $500. ;)

This is what i thought also, but my parts guy at the service centre thinks they are the same. Do we know what the difference is?

Id go with the new one then. :D:D

I was going to suggest spending that 'little' bit more and replace them both with some good replacement ones. But they will set ya back a few K! $500, plus install is not bad. :D:D

I would just replace the one with that new Ferrari one now mate. When the other side ****s itself, then do them both then. :D:D

Thats the trouble. WILL it get fixed properly? :D:D

Also with a new one, you almost know it will last for a few years before it cracks. I remember reading that the headers last way over 20K miles. Sure, some dont last as long and I am sure some lost MUCH longer before they crack. :):)

Agreed, I have no idea if the fixed header will show a problem again. IMO The new header is a bargain, esp when you consider it is incl install ;)

Now i just need to find out if the new one they have is for a 2.7 or a 5.2. :D

Yeah, they have had in in stock since Noah was a boy, I sorta struck it lucky that they have decided to have a clean out in the parts department and this has been found at the same time mine is needing replacement, stroke of luck. :D

As far as being looked after, I'm not sure i agree with you, this is one thing that is in my favor, the is a list as ling as your arm that is not in my favor. ;) I will tell you the story over a beer one time, we might have to make it a box of beer though, its nota short story. :)

Yeah, actually thought that they must of had the header sitting around collecting dust. Hence the price. ;);)

I also remember part of the issues you had with them and your 1st 355. :(:(

Make that 2x slabs of VB eh? ;);)
