    Anyone still make headers for the 348 besides Fabspeed and Tubi ($$$$)? Are there big gains to be had with them over an exhaust and a pair of cats (which I’ve done)? Why do some people seem to not like the design of the fabspeed pipes?

    Without engine management I'm not sure it makes that big of a difference. One thing on the fab speed is no heat Shields. Not sure but I think the tube design is slightly different in terms of how they flow 4-1 vs 4-2-1 etc pretty easy to see visually to validate. Some folks love them I'm sure but for me it would be tubing or oem, heat shields are a big one for me although others may disagree on its significance.

    Someone told me without heat shields around the headers you’ll burn the alternator out very quickly.
