I'm in Maui, surfing and windsurfing ( www.ponohouse.com/ponoblog ) but I'm planning the logistics for my All Aluminum Tour (www.AllAluminumTour.com ) a four month tour of all the major classic race tracks in North America to participate in vintage races. I'm going to be racing Peyote, my whacky 1959 backyard special that was built from a TR3, a lot of surplus road sign aluminum, a zillion rivets, and a lot of whiskey. I'll be hauling it in Nero, a 1989 34 foot Airstream trailer that I gutted and built into a garage and living space. 15,000 miles, 17 events, 15 race tracks, and a big stash of pre-embargo cubans.

I've got a schedule posted on the blog, and I'm looking for ideas about things to see along the way. Even though I'll be hauling a huge trailer I want to get off the freeways and experience stuff. I'll also be carrying a motorcycle in the bed of the pickup for side trips--either my FZ1 Yamaha or my Vincent Black Shadow. Probably the FZ1, I think I'll have enough mechanical challenges keeping Peyote together.

I'd be grateful for your suggestions.
