    Hello

Me and my family are packing up the family car this summer to head to Las Vegas. I know its early to start sharing. I want to know what hotels Would be suitable in Las Vegas? Around 300-600$ . Something with good ratings. And My friend says that there is a hotel with a ferrari Showroom and store. Anyone know anything about that? If so how much would it cost to stay in that particular hotel?

    Thanks.

You're not likely to have any trouble finding a nice hotel in the summer here in that price range (assuming you mean per night). The Wynn is the hotel with the Ferrari dealership, but I wouldn't call it the most "family friendly" one. You can easily visit the dealership, even if you don't stay there.

If you tell us more about what your family consists of, and what you like, we might be able to guide you better.

Yes it is around $300-$600 per night. We are staying for 5 days. And a hotel close the the Wynn and close to some place to walk around and explore. We want to visit The Fountains of Bellagio. And places to shop. And my brother (who is 25) wants a casino in the hotel as well.

Here is a map of the hotels on the Las Vegas Strip (which is actually named Las Vegas Boulevard). All of the hotels shown have casinos. (Note that the one called Stardust is now closed for remodeling.)

If you want a nicer place, stay at one south of the Wynn. The Venetian is a good choice. Bellagio is even more upper end. And Mandalay Bay (farthest south) is a very good all-around choice. It's proabaly about 3 miles from Mandalay to Wynn.

If you want to stay in the heart of the action, then Bellagios, Caesars, Mirage, Ventian, or the Wynn would be your best bet, and in the price range you mentioned, if not cheaper. Summer rates are very low in Vegas, mostly due to the heat. I've stayed at the Mirage in July for $89 night !!

Go to Vegas.com, or http://www.a2zlasvegas.com/index.html for more info.

Oh, and the Wynn has the Ferrari dealership, but if you don't own an F car they will charge you $10 just to walk around and browse.

    Woohoo, my 100th post !!

You and the family will have a great time. At the upper end are the Bellagio and the Wynn. Both are centrally located and are beautiful properties. Just a notch below that are the Venetian, MGM Grand, and Mandalay Bay. Having stayed at all of these, I'd lean towards any of the first three.

Vegas is quite a place. Prepared to be fairly blown away.

Umm, remodeling? Its getting imploded in March...

Also, I'd recommend staying at the Venetian, as they have some of the larger rooms there are, and its a beautiful property. It is right across the street from the Wynn pretty much, as well as Caesar's Palace. You may want to also venture off Strip to Lamborghini of Las Vegas, where they will treat you very well and don't charge admission.

We are possibly going to stay in the Bellagios. We will visit the Ferrari and masserati showrooms. Unfortunatley we don't have a ferrari so we will have to pay to enter. But hopefuly it will be alot of fun. Hope there is lots to do there.

The Bellagio is a good choice. Try to get fountain view rooms (a little bit extra). You can watch the fountain show, and tune your TV to the music that the show is based on.

How do you prove that you own a ferrari, particularly when you are an overseas visitor?

I've heard they just want you to show your key as proof of ownership. I've also heard that owners should go through the service entrance.

They also accept an insurance slip that has your name and a Ferrari on it, I have a copy of my dads and they let me in with it.

Keys and copies of insurance are generally not the type of items that you carry when on a holiday, particularly when you fly into Vegas.

Well not when you're coming from Australia. Many people from southern california drive their f-cars to vegas.

We stayed at the Mirage in Oct '06. I think midrange price room with kingsize bed and all amenities averaged out to about $225/night for 3 nights, Thursday thru Saturday. Very nice hotel, beautifully maintained, great facilities and service all round though architecturally dated by today's standards... ultimate wow factor is now elsewhere, but close walking distance.

We decided to stay at Mirage because we saw Cirque de Soliel Beatles Love show and Jay Leno on successive nights; they both performed there. Actually Love is the permanent show replacing Siegfried & Roy and is awesome, both the performance and the theater and architectural renovations for it.

I walked a lot and toured Ferrari dealer at Wynn...it was no big deal to get in. I told the kid at the desk I was an owner, expecting an airport-style shakedown and background check...he just asked what year and model and then replied "oh, an old one, don't see many of those here", and gave me an owner neck tag. There was an Enzo on display that I gawked at for a full hour, then bought a couple of items in Ferrari boutique.

We've stayed at numerous casino's (Harrah's, Aladdin, Monte Carlo to name a few) and all are very nice. We're planning on going back to Vegas in August for the cannonball event. enjoy your trip!
