    We are heading up to Lime Rock for the historic races on Saturday. Leaving 6:30am to get there early. We usually sit on the hill at the end of front straight on the outside - great viewing.

    Will be there as well on Saturday... probably driving up in the 308. Concur with your choice of viewing location - that was the best place we found to view the action at IMSA race in July.

    While the hill overlooking Big Bend and the Left Hander is considered the main viewing spot for races at LRP, the nice thing about the track is that it is short enough so that you can walk around the entire circuit and spend some time at some of the other prime viewing spots, including coming out of the esses into No Name Straight (which isn't really "straight" but the racing line allows you to drive it "straight"), up by the Chicane/Uphill turn (for really close up and slightly elevated viewing), on the inside of the Downhill turn and, of course, inside of Big Bend where you can see a lot of overtaking from late braking off of the main straight.

    LRP is one of the most viewer friendly tracks around and without a single grandstand!

    Indeed, and now even better given the earthworks completed this summer and some new viewing areas.
