    ...yes...

    Bought a used pod motor and it has a narrow rubber hose attached to a small outlet coming out of the motor body....

    What's the purpose of this?

    If it is vertical down, it is to drain any water/condensate out of the motor.

    The metal pipe exits motor body horizontal
    The rubber hose is a press fit onto this and can be positioned pointing up or down...

    Shall i position it pointing down?
