My wife and I had the opportunity to meet Sergio Pininfarina about 6 years ago. It was at the Pebble Beach Concours, and he was an honorary judge. He was walking alone near us, and since my wife knew he liked Dinos, she introduced us as Dino owners.
He was very friendly and talkative, and asked me several questions about my car. He also mentioned that it was one of his very favorite Ferraris because "it looks good from any angle". At the end of the conversation I asked him what he thought about covered headlights on the Dino. He immediately frowned and shook his head several times before saying "please don't do it". I realize that eveyone has their opinions, but his comment reinforced my feelings on this topic.

i am not a fan of the headlight covers because the look goofy. however, these covers carry on the contour and look nice. i wouldn't install them on my car, but if my car had them, i would be replacing them with this style

There was a 246 Dino gt at the Greenwich Concours today. It had headlight covers which really looked great. I tried to take some close up shots with the hardware showing. They looked fabulous on this car. I think the GT's lines are really enhanced by these. I am about to restore a '71 GT and I think I will put them on. However, I have a LONG way to go before I worry about this!!

I mean, some women look even better wearing glasses, but it's usually some kind of fetish thing :)

The Dino doesn't need them, and the little clips just attract the eye from the flawless lines of the car. If you need bug eyes, get a 360.

I'm not sure I see it as wearing glasses.

The 360 would not look finished without glass over the headlights, but the Dino looks better when left alone.
