    Hello experts. Anyone that knows what this small tube on the headlight lift motor is for? I am servicing the motors and wondered if I should fill some lubricant into the motor?

    I think that this shows down when installed and is for draining condensed water ?

    And if same as Testarossa (don't know) there would be a short length of vacuum hose over that nipple

    Different.

    And those injected boxer motors look like they were dipped in grey half-cured stucco if you look under the boots vs the larger diameter carb'd version.

    Thanks guys for the valid information. You just saved me for a "lube" disaster. It would have been a nightmare to pull those motors in pieces for cleaning due to the "stucco" mastic they for some reason are completely covered in.

    FWIW, these same motors were used on Porsche 914's during this period as well.

    the porsche 914 had only a 4 cylinder engine, 1,7 ltr and 2 ltr
