    Hello, I had a previous thread discussing headlights not lifting and had some wise advise from other members.

    After testing the fuses and relays and changing the fuze board itself I still have the same problem. The headlights will not lift when I turn on the headlights.

    I have removed the headlights and now I am wondering how to test the motors themselves. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to test the motors because I cannot find any electrical diagrams for them. On the side they say;
    SWF 4466822 and underneath that; SWMK 402.627.

    Many thanks
    Harry

    Hallo Harry348,
    if you need the wiring diags just give me your email than I can take out this particular part from my mondials diagrams.
    Actually I do have the same problems that on lifter does not open but if manually opened after a while, when switching off the lights, it closes.
    regards

    Hi

    Thanks for all the advice, I eventually found the electrical layouts on the internet so I was able to trace all wiring through the car. All cables back from the lifter motors were intact, and all the cables from the switch were intact. The continuity stopped on the back of the fuse box where I discovered that all the female connector to the motors were so wide open that the male from the fuse box had no way of making contact. I wonder how the lifter motors ever worked in the first place.

    So I disconnected every plug from the back of the fuse box and squeezed every female connector. Now the pop up headlights pop up and down without problem. YIPPEEEEEEE.

    Moral, after checking the fuses and the relays check the plug in connectors.
