Info i've ascertained.... The connecting rod for the 348/355 headlamp pod fails... The rod is fine...it's the yellow passivated "handle" that bolts down onto the splined motor output shaft...this is a self tapping fitment...the splines of the motor shaft embedding themselves into the handle as it's bolted down. Mine had eroded and this caused the handle to slip when the pod was raised causing the pod to drop a few mm's And from time to time the pod would fail to lower...the handle was slipping on the motor shaft. Ordered new connecting rod from Ferrari...parts diagram shows this as a complete part WITH the handle attached. When it arrived it was only the connecting rod NO handle...the critical piece...Ferrari no longer supply the handle...only the rod. What a pain I found NOS after faffing around.
