Planning on installing he Daniel Stern headlight relay kit this weekend. I have read a few threads about it but wondering if anyone could post a picture of the relays in place? Just want a visual of a good mounting location for the relays.

You might consider just changing to the GE Nighthawk LED(or Truck-Lite 27270C) headlights. If your goal is more light output this is a huge leap, and it won't care about the difference between 11v and 13v, so makes the relay change obsolete in my opinion. Current draw is much lower. Anyone disagree? Downside: Cost. The Truck-Lite version is $186each on Amazon.

Mark, I had posted some pictures of when I did mine a few years ago. Only problem is, it's in a other persons thread and I can't remember who's.

I know, shame on me.

Didn't even know these existed. It seems like a good option...much brighter, lower power draw, no wiring mods, and easy install. I'm going to have to look into these. The market for 7" sealed beams is very limited, hence these were developed for off road/Jeeps.

Good find Chris...do you have personal experience with these?

    Hi Henry,

Yes, installed them many years ago. Brighter then stock and now can actually see at nights.

    Hey Chris

Did you do these LED lights? I thought you did the H4 halogens.

No not the LED ones, I got the H4 ones.

Man, I didn't realize I tackled that 7 years ago.

I use them on an 1986 rx7. I haven't put them on the 308 out of laziness, and the limit amount of times I drive at night. I think someone on here has done it if you search.

If you're really picky about looks, you won't like them, but in my opinion, its such a silly arguement since they are not visible during the day, and you can't see them at night.

I've been agonizing over this for a while. Having kicked in my OCD, I can definitely tell you that HID is better than LED for headlights (as of today, with current technology - LED is catching up fast, but not there yet).

Of course, now I have to choose from the godzillion different types/brands/wattage of HID, so it will be another few years yet.
