On my pax side headlight the headlight seems to rub the inboard part of the body when it rotates. When in the down or up position there is a gap. Somewhere in the movement it is rubbing. Any ideas?
    Thanks

There are 2 screws on the inboard part of the cowl that could come loose and rub - have a look with the pods up

Thanks for the suggestion. I was hoping that it was that simple and I missed the obvious, but no. Everything is tight. The pod does not move or wiggle either.

The whole assembly is bolted down with 4 main bolts and one / all of these could have come loose. The rotating part of the headlamp mechanism also pivots on two bolts so check them as well. 17mm & 15mm spanner if I remember correctly.

If these are OK then you need to remove the top cowl and check the mountings inside the headlamp area for the glass fibre pod.

there is a far amount of adjustment and although a gap may exist when closed this could reduce when it rises up.

disconnect the motor (actuator) from the main loom via the white plug. To raise and lower use the manual knob on the top of the actuator. This will raise and lower the assembly by hand and you can see exactly where it touches.

I have had the same and it took some time and several adjustments using all adjustment options to get it as i wanted it. Still the gap with lamps up is smaller than when down (which is normal).

It can be adjusted to be perfect but it takes time.

Use the actuator linkage arm to make the final adjustment when in the closed position. these are left and right hand threads.

If the headlamps are set correctly make sure you mark the position on the garage wall before you start, any adjustment will affect headlight alignment.

Final word of warning, disconnect the motor from the loom, if your hand is in the way when it operates then it will hurt...a lot

Loosened 4 bolts that holds assembly down and moved slightly outboard. Fixed problem. Thanks for the help.
